Permanent Vision Correction Without Altering the Cornea

At Spashta Eye Hospitals, we offer the latest innovations in vision correction—ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) and IPCL (Implantable Phakic Contact Lens)—ideal for individuals who are not candidates for LASIK or prefer a non-laser, reversible solution.

What is ICL?

ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens) is a biocompatible lens made of Collamer, a unique material that is gentle on the eye and resistant to harmful UV rays. The lens is implanted between the iris and the natural lens of the eye to correct:

  • Nearsightedness (Myopia)

  • Farsightedness (Hyperopia)

  • Astigmatism

It is a quick and painless procedure, usually completed in under 15 minutes, with fast visual recovery and no changes made to the cornea.

What is IPCL?

IPCL (Implantable Phakic Contact Lens) is a similar technology that provides high-definition vision correction for those with high power refractive errors who may not be suitable for LASIK or PRK. It is a custom-made lens placed inside the eye, offering sharp, stable, and long-lasting vision.

Why Choose ICL/IPCL?

  • Ideal for people with thin corneas or dry eyes

  • Reversible and removable if needed

  • Excellent night vision and contrast sensitivity

  • Protects from UV damage

  • Permanent solution—no need for spectacles or contact lenses

Under the expert supervision of Dr. Radha Dondapati and the skilled team at Spashta Eye Hospitals, our ICL/IPCL procedures follow the highest standards of safety, precision, and patient comfort.

If you’ve been told LASIK isn’t for you, ICL or IPCL could be your perfect match.
